The Laser In Situ Scattering and Transmissiometry (LISST) instrument
was attached near the two ADCPs during the January field study. The LISST is
an optical instrument for in-situ measurement of particle size spectra based
on the principal of laser diffraction. The white cylinder at upper left is an
acoustic locator pinger to determine instrument distance above bottom.
